SEAMLESS POWER

The SyncDrive Move Plus motor is integrated into the rear hub and delivers 30Nm of power (equivalent to 75Nm with a mid-drive motor) directly to the rear wheel. Weighing just 1.7kg, it’s tuned for the pedalling pattern of road riding with minimal energy loss and more torque at higher speeds—natural feel when accelerating or holding speed, and no motor drag while freewheeling or coasting.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

The down-tube integrated EnergyPak 400 battery system weighs just 2.3kg and is purpose-built for the needs of E-bikes. A top-tube RideControl Go button makes it quick and easy to power on/off and change modes. Smart Assist technology uses three sensors to match support to your pedalling for a smooth, natural ride. All models feature SRAM wireless electronic shifters and an integrated taillight.

PURE ROAD PERFORMANCE

A lightweight composite frameset and high-performance components—including a D-Fuse seatpost and handlebars for compliance, integrated WheelSystems with tubeless tyres, and a wireless electronic drivetrain—add up to smooth, efficient ride quality that mirrors the award-winning Defy endurance road range.

How far can I expect to ride on a single battery charge?

The range for a single battery charge can vary greatly depending on conditions such as the combined weight of the rider and cargo; wind resistance; tyre pressure and tread profile; terrain and elevation changes; road or trail surface; outdoor temperature; maintenance of the E-Bike; and the condition of the battery.

SyncDrive Move Plus

The new SyncDrive Move Plus motor delivers 30Nm of torque, which is comparable to 75Nm of torque in a mid-drive motor—all in a lightweight, quiet system that’s fully integrated into the rear hub. It features five support levels plus Smart Assist technology, which can automatically adjust pedaling support without having to change settings while riding. The motor uses sensors to constantly adjust output based on advanced algorithms.

ADVANCED COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY

Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and moulded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.

SMART ASSIST

All SyncDrive motors have Smart Assist technology, which adjusts the support to match the rider’s needs. By using information from multiple sensors, both rider input and terrain feedback are used to determine the optimal amount of pedaling assistance. SyncDrive is the only e-bike system that utilizes both rider input and terrain feedback.
